Flower Foraging + New Gardening BookMelissa @ The Inspired Roomon May 6, 2020 at 10:50 pm

Foraging for pretty flowers and greenery in my yard one of my favorite seasonal activities! What’s not to love? Foraging is free, it’s therapeutic and flowers add beauty to a home, without clutter.
I just ordered this gardening book for myself for Mother’s day (anyone else buy presents for themselves? Ha!). I’m feeling inspired to design a cutting garden for our backyard. I dream of rows and rows of flowers!

Court and I spent a morning last week foraging the yard for a bouquet. Even without an official cutting garden, we found so many lovely flowers on our trees, shrubs and popping up around the yard. We aren’t even to peonies or rose or hydrangea season here yet, but we ended up filling so many vases with beautiful blooms and scents!
I thought I’d share some snapshots from our morning of flower foraging and arranging. We are not professional gardeners or flower arrangers, but that doesn’t matter. 🙂 It’s still so fun and therapeutic. I hope these “May flowers” bring you as much joy as they brought to us.
